This unique earthenware candle holder is inspired by one of the many enigmatic standing stones and stone circles found in Britain and Ireland.
This circle is inspired by the magnificent stones of Orkney. The candlelight causes the standing stones to cast shadows creating the atmosphere of a stone circle in your own home and is perfect for a solstice celebration.
The motif at its centre is a depiction of a ‘Brodgar butterfly’, found incised into a stone slab at the Neolithic site of the Ness of Brodgar, Orkney.
This stone circle is made from a white clay glazed in ‘varan’ to create the effect of lichen covered stones. It is the perfect gift for the history and archaeology lover.
